The cylinder lockup produces light side-to-side movement. The single-action trigger is crisp and the double-action smooth. Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition. There is a little hairline scratch on the left side of the frame below the rear sight. There are a couple of little scuffs that have caused smooth spots, most noticeable on the trigger guard. There are some draglines and swirls from use and storage. Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a couple tiny spots of erosion at the muzzle. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.īore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There are light handling marks, no major defects. Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black rubber with finger grooves, raised oval texturing, and S&W logos on each side. The topstrap under the rear sight is drilled and tapped for mounting optics (none included). There is a square notch S&W micrometer click adjustable rear sight installed on the topstrap, it is adjustable for windage and elevation. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Patridge blade pinned on a serrated ramp on a serrated solid rib. The underside of the topstrap is marked “A”. There are inspection marks on the sides of the grip frame and on the yoke. The butt of the grip frame is marked with the serial number. The left side of the frame has an S&W logo and the right side of the frame has the four line Marcas Registradas address. Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “.22 LONG RIFLE CTG.” and the right side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”.
